About Britt

Britt is a multi faceted artist with a passion for design and desire for creation. She experienced different crafting techniques during her Master’s studies in Architecture. After her graduation the desire for creation always resurfaced more than she could express in her job as an architect. Later, she graduated from her educative Master’s studies for design sciences and started to work as an art teacher. Guiding students through their creative process is what she loves.

Curiosity is in her nature. She always has had a passion for exploring the world and different ethnic cultures. The way tribes present themselves and the way jewelry is a part of their identity is something what inspires her. She studied different cultures and their jewelry such as the Amazigh people from Morocco, Tamang people from Nepal, Ladakhi and Rajasthani people from India and different tribes of Sikkim.

She explored the craft of silver smithing during her travels to South Asia. She developed her skills as a jeweller by following several courses in India, Sri Lanka and Nepal, where the brand ‘Studio Lazali’ was born.

All the pieces are unique and created by Britt’s own hands. The different collections are inspired by the natural world with its indigenous people. She priorities sustainable practices, recycled metals and high quality, ethical gemstones, which are all carefully picked out one by one. Furthermore, she works with local and small companies to bring a holistic stance to crafting.

Thank you for your support and contribution to local and small artists!
